In 1991, Deborah Webster founded her company, Webster & Associates, Inc.
Webster's initial client was the American Red Cross, National Headquarters. American Red Cross asked Webster & Associates to assist with the opening and development of National Testing Laboratories. Webster & Associates negotiated and managed a variety of agreements ranging from architectural services, casework, and furniture to a wide variety of lab equipment and medical supplies and products. As a result, American Red Cross was able to open and operate all labs on time and within budget.
Building upon this experience, Webster & Associates partnered with independent blood centers in 1993 to expand the group purchasing program. The program, available to 80 independent blood centers nationwide, grew from five contracts to over 90 during a six-year period. Also, Webster & Associates provided consulting services on a variety of projects.
In addition to working with blood centers, Webster & Associates launched the Physicians and Clinics Purchasing Program in 1993. The program was initially offered as part of United Healthcare of North Carolina's Select Physician/Provider Services Program. Since the initial launch, the program has been expanded and currently is open to all physicians, clinics, surgical centers, and hospitals nationwide. Through the program, contracts for medical supplies, products, services and equipment are available.
Over the years, Webster has focused on other niche healthcare sectors, developing and launching purchasing programs for plasma collection centers, plasma fractionation facilities, blood banks, tissue and organ banks and biotechnology companies. Webster & Associates continues to uncover niche markets with a need for purchasing and consulting solutions.
As part of the continuous improvement process, Webster & Associates is pleased to have partnered with GIV and Henry Schein, Inc. in early 2000. For over 70 years, GIV and Henry Schein have provided top quality injectables, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and products throughout the US and the world.
In 2002, we partnered with Fisher Scientific and VWR Scientific Products to service our laboratory and research customers. Fisher and VWR are major scientific product distributors with extensive product lines available for laboratories and biotechnology companies.
These partnerships allow us to offer thousands of products through our purchasing programs. Utilizing the combination of these industry leaders through Webster & Associates, customers realize substantial savings and exceptional distribution services.
